Breaking the Time Barrier: The Race to Build the First Time Machine
By Jenny Randles

Well, I'm doing the unthinkable. I've decided to use Xanga even though  2007 was the last time I did and ppl I know seem to have forgotten it as well. It wasn't that bad though so I am going to see what happens with this crazy post I'm posting right now with fingers of subconscious accuracy (key board ability) Well, I just want to throw some encouragement out there to those who are struggling or haven't quite found the adventure in life they long for. Anything worth obtaining usually takes time, process, and development. God will often allow us to go through tough stuff and sometimes horrifying things with a very very very good purpose. One of the more recent revelations I've had is that I must give myself 100 percent aggression towards my life in Him even when I feel like I'm hanging off a cliff or I don't have any peace or I'm just confused. I heard someone say once, that most strive to be content in their walk with God but we should be content in striving. So just see from a macro perspective that He is out to build something authentic in us and He knows that takes ridding us of all the default junk of how we operate. For instance, most of us operate on what makes us feel comfortable. If you're feeling kind of down, than the comfortable thing is to lie down in the feeling and not govern your life with much discipline that day. God knows He has to take us through experiences that teach us to operate from a totally different place, principle and the intuition of our spirit which houses God's Spirit. This comes not from a warm feeling, though that does happen, but by faith without any sense of feeling. Anyway, just know that God is after the real result which comes from a very real process. Our job is to not spare an inch in our pursuit of Him. When, we fail we'll get back up and if we don't give up we will reap much. Those who wait on the Lord will soar up on wings like eagles. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. (Gal. 6:9-I'm pretty sure.)

Alright, on the way to San Diego, Kenny and I stopped in Phoenix and stayed with Kevin Johnson, the old phoenix point guard who failed to defeat John Paxton and Michael Jordan in the NBA finals (back when the NBA truly meant something.) Not really, I don't really know Kevin that well. But anyway, we were looking for something fun to do in Phoenix at about 12 at night. We were driving down the interstate and Kenny said, "Hey, 35th avenue. Let's go there." I said, "Why there? Is there something fun there?" He said, "I don't know maybe. Let's try." Then, I randomly said, "I just pray to God there's a Jack in the Box there." Well, we went there and the street was dark and shut down. There were no fast food restaurants and every store we did see such as pawn shops were closed. Yes, it was all shut down EXCEPT for a 24 hour a day Jack in the Box fully lit up. We were shocked. I was changed. Kenny was changed. It's not quite been the same. It was amazing. I'll leave you with that story for now. lata.

I'm in San Diego right now seeing my very close friend Kenny Liles off as he's moving here to be a youth pastor. It's been quite fun so far. I will share one exciting event that occured on a later post. Perhaps xanga will come back to life. I've allowed it to remain in hiding in order that it may be ressurected in even greater power. You have no idea what's coming.  I love you guys.

Several weeks ago I did something and seriously wondered if it had ever been done before. Most things have been done, but I just couldn't imagine anyone doing what I did. I was alone in my house at three in the morning. It was freezing cold outside. I don't have a key to my apartment so I got the clever idea to lock myself out of my house with my cars keys just to see what I would do with myself. I kind of cheated as I grabbed a tooth brush, my Bible, and my laptop but after I grabbed them I turned the door handle locker and slammed the door behind me. It was a rush. I figured I'd have to find something interesting to do for about the next 7 hours before I could get a key to get back in from the people who run the apartments. So I drove down the road almost to the city area of Conway when it hit me that I could get back in my house with a credit card or sorts. I went to Wal-Mart and drove back home. I pulled out a credit card like object and sure enough was able to get in. I found it funny that I actually put myself in that predicament and took opportunity to get out of it when I thought of it. It was an insane ordeal. I'm not sure exactly why I had that idea but I just remember that it hit me like a flash and I immediately decided to be crazy enough to do it. Perhaps, I was learning the lession of reckless abandonment into risk and the unknown. As I've heard a wise man of God say before, "The Kingdom always involves risk."

So, It's Valentine's Day!! very exciting. Valentine's Day has always been a lame day for me so as of late, within the last year I'd say, I've tried to make an event of it. Last, year I did something really stupid in an attempt to do this and I now regret it. I began a dating relationship on that day. Now, the whole dating relationship wasn't a mistake. I had chosen quite the philly, with no history of drugs and all the other stuff you try to avoid in the opposite sex. But choosing Valentine's Day was foolish on my part as my friend Kenny was as naive as I was in that he didn't think to tell me that our anniversary would be the same day as Valentine's Day had we stayed together. Kenny, if your reading this, that's the only time you've ever done me wrong, bro but I sure love ya to death. But today I wasn't sure how to make it a great day. As the day went on I found my opportunity. I was able to release some quotable dialogue to a cashier. Somehow, a cashier ended up telling me his wife had two uteruses. What was my Valentine's Day response. "Dude, your lucky to have you a woman with two uteruses." It was a great time. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day! (If you need to add some spice to that Valentine's date, bring up the issue of uteruses. Believe me. That kind of conversation lasts for hours.)
